Horizon Terminals Limited (HTL)
is an international provider of independent bulk liquid storage
and logistics services which is committed to operating in a
manner that achieves sustainable development, economic viability
and Customer satisfaction while safeguarding the environment and
the health and safety of its employees and the community.
HTL strives to comply with or
exceed all applicable global, local and Customer Environmental,
Health, Safety, Security and Quality ( EHSSQ ) laws, regulations
and standards .
HTL is committed to achieving
its EHSSQ objectives by implementing an integrated Management
System and seeks to continually improve its operating processes
and associated services through the following:
» Providing
the management structure, personnel resources and guidelines
necessary to minimize adverse affects of its
operations on the environment or human health and safety,
and to meet customer needs and expectations.

Providing training for all employees and
contractors to make them aware of this Policy in order to
promote pollution prevention and protection of human health
and safety, and to highlight the importance of customer
satisfaction, product / service quality and continual
improvement, to ensure that all employees understand their
contribution towards these activities and to hold them
accountable for their performance.

Documenting and communicating this EHSSQ
Policy to all employees, contractors, suppliers, visitors
and the public as appropriate .
» Developing
standards to meet the aims of this Policy, setting EHSSQ
objectives and targets and implementing a Management
Programme for each .
» Monitoring and
evaluating performance in achieving the objectives of this
Policy by conducting regular audits to achieve responsible
self-regulation of the Company’s operations .
»
Conducting periodic reviews by senior
management of the effectiveness of the Company’s EHSSQ
programmes and update and re-issue the Policy as
appropriate.
» Preventing
pollution and continually improving our facilities by
implementing proven technology that is economically sound,
promoting safe working practices and maintaining property
and equipment within acceptable pre-determined standards.
» Minimizing
waste and promoting the conservation of environmental
resources.
» Making EHSSQ
considerations an integral part of our business planning and
of equal importance to other key business and strategic
objectives.
» Developing and
maintaining risk-based emergency response systems and
facilities as necessary to control and mitigate the effects
of any incident that may occur .
» Conducting
ongoing maintenance of facilities and equipment to minimize
downtime and maintaining stocks of critical components to
enable immediate repairs and replacement.
